- I've been honored with a nomination to receive the Ernie Davis scholarship. In order to do this, one of my tasks was to spread the word of Ernie's legend. This blog's purpose is to not only spread the word through my teamates on the baseball diamond, which I do, but also to everyone, near and far. Obviously, the internet is capable of reaching anyone, and hopefully many will learn of Ernie's heroism.

I never attended Ernie Davis Middle School, but I am wondering if while a student there are the students there ever taught the history and story of Ernie Davis? Does anyone ever explain to them the significance of the name of their school? Curious...
